Michael Gerard Tyson is a former professional boxer, having reigned as undisputed world heavyweight champion. Tyson was known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style as well as his controversial behavior inside and outside the ring, and is generally regarded as one of the best heavyweights of all time. Tyson earned over $300 million during his boxing career before declaring bankruptcy in 2003 and retiring from professional boxing in 2006. He has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
